Sustainable Preservation Practices for Managing Storage Environments

The third round of IPI’s highly successful series of free workshops and webinars for collections care, facilities, and administrative staff in cultural institutions begins this month. There are no registration fees for the workshops or the webinars.

Series III workshop participants will receive two full days of practical information on understanding mechanical system functions, responsible energy-saving strategies, and guidelines for managing changes in environmental settings without reducing preservation quality. Each participants will receive a copy of IPI’s Guide to Sustainable Preservation Practices for Managing Storage Environments.

Series III webinars will expand on some of the topics covered in the workshops, providing useful background information and practical guidelines for implementing sustainable preservation practices. Presentations have been designed to appeal to a range of audiences, including those new to the field, experienced professionals, and staff from small to large institutions.
